Attend a Dojo...

Now for something a little familiar but different... Floats. Our next workshop at Tyndall National Institute is on Thursday October 18.

MakerDojo is helping out the Dragon of Shandon Festival parade. At least two of their floats will be (literally) crawling with small skeletons, and we're going to attach servos to their skulls so they will be looking around at random and scanning the crowd while the parade is underway.

The workshop will be setting up a servo motor to do the random passes, but build it in a way so that eight or more could be added to your setup.

Skulls and Servos

And on Thursday November 15th, we'll be glowing!

Making things glow is, well, something we're done a lot in past MakerDojo sessions, however we've not touched multi-colour LEDs yet.

Now its time to make our true colours shine for Cork Science Week!

Glow well

If you would like to make your own MakerDojo session, well, there is a guide to setting up your own MakerDojo.

Interested in taking part?

Ticketing is needed for our workshops as we only have so much equipment to go around, but our touring version does not have the restrictions. You could keep an eye on Eventbrite, or you could sign up here for news of the next MakerDojo workshop in Tyndall National Institute!
